As a non-profit organization committed to serving Christ and advancing His Kingdom,
we affirm the following core beliefs that guide our mission and activities:
Statement of Faith for Invited In Disability Ministry
The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate standard for faith and practice, revealing God’s will for humanity and providing guidance for all aspects of life. The Bible consists of the Old and New Testaments and is trustworthy in all its teachings (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, sharing the same divine essence. God is sovereign, holy, loving, and just, and He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things (Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-14; Acts 5:3-4).
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the sins of the world, and rose again on the third day, conquering sin and death. Through His atoning work, salvation is made possible for all who believe in Him. He ascended to heaven and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead (John 14:6; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, sent by the Father and the Son to empower believers for service, convict the world of sin, and guide them in truth. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer, equips them for ministry, and produces Christ-like character in them (John 14:26; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23).
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is a free gift of God, not earned by works, but received by faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Through repentance and faith, individuals are forgiven of their sins and reconciled to God, receiving the gift of eternal life (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; Romans 10:13).
The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers, both locally and universally. The Church exists to worship God, make disciples, and serve others in love. The local church plays a vital role in nurturing believers, preaching the Gospel, and carrying out God’s mission in the world (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 4:11-16).
Eternal Life
We believe in the eternal life of the believer and the eternal separation from God of the unbeliever. Those who trust in Christ will spend eternity in the presence of God, enjoying His fellowship forever. Those who reject Christ will face eternal judgment and separation from God (John 5:24; Revelation 20:11-15).
Christian Living
We believe that all believers are called to live holy lives, to love God with all their heart, soul, and mind, and to love their neighbors as themselves. We are called to be witnesses of Christ’s love and truth in a broken world, seeking justice, showing mercy, and walking humbly with God (Matthew 22:37-40; Micah 6:8; Romans 12:1-2).
The Second Coming
We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth. His return will bring the fulfillment of God’s Kingdom, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment of all people (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16)
Statement of Disability Theology
We believe that all people, including those with disabilities, are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27). Each individual, regardless of their physical, mental, or emotional abilities, possesses inherent dignity, worth, and value as part of God’s divine creation. Disability, in its many forms, does not diminish a person’s identity or purpose in God’s Kingdom.
Creation and Humanity
We affirm that people with disabilities are fully included in God’s redemptive purposes. All individuals, regardless of abilities, are part of the body of Christ, which is to be a place of welcome, love, and belonging (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). The variety of human abilities and experiences reflect the richness of God’s creativity, and disability is not a mistake or punishment, but part of the diverse beauty of creation (Psalm 139:13-16).
Jesus Christ and Disability
We believe that Jesus Christ, through His earthly ministry, demonstrated God’s love and care for all people, including those often marginalized by society, such as those with disabilities. Jesus healed and restored many, but His ministry was equally about offering dignity, hope, and the presence of God to those in need (Matthew 11:4-5; Luke 7:22). Jesus’ compassion for people with disabilities reveals God’s heart for the whole person—spirit, soul, and body.
The Church and Community
We believe the Church is called to be an inclusive community where people with disabilities are valued, empowered, and fully integrated. The Church is to be a place where barriers of exclusion—whether physical, social, or spiritual—are removed, and where all people can experience fellowship, growth, and the transformative power of the Gospel (Galatians 3:28; Ephesians 4:15-16). We commit to creating environments where people with disabilities can worship, serve, and contribute to the mission of the Church.
The Redemptive Work of Christ
We believe that Christ’s redemptive work on the cross offers salvation, healing, and restoration to all people, including those with disabilities. While physical healing may not always be immediate or complete in this life, we affirm the hope of eternal healing in the resurrection and the full restoration of all things in the New Creation (Isaiah 35:5-6; Revelation 21:3-4). Disability does not hinder a person from fully participating in the grace of God or the work of the Kingdom. We also acknowledge that we do not fully know or comprehend what disabilities will or will not be healed or be part of the New Heaven and New Earth.
Disability as Part of God’s Kingdom
We believe that God’s Kingdom is made richer by the inclusion of people with disabilities. Disability, like any other aspect of human experience, provides opportunities for displaying the power of God’s grace and the beauty of His Kingdom in unique ways. As the Church, we are called to embody a culture that recognizes the contributions and gifts of people with disabilities, reflecting God’s care for all people, and showing the world that God’s love transcends every limitation (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
A Call to Justice and Advocacy
We affirm that justice, mercy, and care for the vulnerable are central to the Gospel message. We are called to advocate for the rights and dignity of people with disabilities, working to eliminate injustice, discrimination, and inequality. The Church must stand in solidarity with those who are marginalized, ensuring that people with disabilities have access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive (Micah 6:8; James 1:27).
As an organization, we are committed to upholding these biblical truths in all that we do. Our mission is to glorify God, serve others, and make disciples of Jesus Christ, faithfully living out the Gospel in our world. We invite others to join us in this mission, as we strive to reflect the love, grace, and truth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
